4. REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
Iceland has fantastic views all year round. We loved visiting the Blue Lagoon, and it definitely lived up to all the hype! We also highly recommend doing the Golden Circle tour, where you can see the Kerid Crater, Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir hot springs. There are also other great tours that take you further afield to different waterfalls such as the Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls and the famous black sand beaches. Be warned – Reykjavik is very expensive for eating out, luckily we had our own cooking facilities to keep the cost down and while the thought of a whale watching tour sounds amazing, it is most probably not going to be worth it as whale sightings are very rare.
